Perhaps you're a 'grammar nazi' and can't help but notice when an incorrect word is used. Perhaps not. The words

*fewer* or

*less* are often used incorrectly. Can you see a mathematical reason as to why each is (correctly) used in these sentences?

Show answer
*Fewer* is used for discrete (countable) values. *Less* is used for continuous (measurable) values.

A buddy lately described mathematical as a terminology. That's not a new exposure, but if you perform this one through, it becomes a fundamental alternation in how you strategy mathematical abilities and therefore less difficult to show, as well as to understand. I should add that this buddy is probably the most normally blessed math wizzard that I have ever met. http://www.mordocrosswords.com/2016/01/fewer.html
